Family Medicine Opportunity: Saint Joseph Family Medicine - Walkerton

Exciting Opportunity for Family Medicine Physician

Our organization is thrilled to present a full-time position for a Board Certified or Board Eligible* Family Medicine physician to join our expanding practice in Walkerton, Indiana. This location is conveniently situated near the University of Notre Dame.

As part of our medical group, which encompasses over 20 practice sites and includes more than 100 primary care and specialist physicians across St. Joseph, Marshall, and Elkhart Counties, you will be employed by a regional health system affiliated with a prominent medical institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric.
• Utilize available basic laboratory services and perform procedures such as skin tag and mole removal, suturing, and joint injections.
• Engage in teaching opportunities with Family Medicine residents, including clinical instruction and supervision.
• Comply with the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
• Maintain active membership status on the medical staff of the health system as required.

*Board Certification must be achieved within five years following the completion of the residency program.

We are proud to share that the state of Indiana recognizes our service area as eligible for the Student Loan Repayment Program. Qualifying providers can receive up to $40,000 in tax-exempt loan forgiveness for full-time service in our designated clinics and/or hospital.

Financial Benefits

• $20,000 for a two-year commitment.

• Participate in an ECHO learning project that connects health professionals with specialist teams to enhance treatment for specific populations, diseases, or conditions.

Compensation Package

• A salary range aligned with MGMA standards.
