Faculty Physician - Family Medicine with Obstetrics Fellowship Training

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Family Medicine Faculty Physician with Surgical Obstetrics Fellowship training (or equivalent experience) to become a vital member of our academic team. This is an exceptional chance to take a leading role in establishing our new Family Medicine Obstetrics Fellowship Program, aimed at enhancing maternal care in underserved rural areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as a core faculty member in our Family Medicine Residency Program, emphasizing obstetrical care education for residents and fellows.
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical care, including surgical OB, in partnership with OB/GYN specialists and family physicians. Our women's health team currently consists of two OB/GYN physicians and a Fellowship-Trained FM-OB physician. The hospital's laborist program reduces night and weekend on-call responsibilities.
- Guide and oversee residents and fellows in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
- Lead outreach initiatives to assist underserved rural women in nearby counties, enhancing access to quality maternal care.
- Contribute to the development of the curriculum and the expansion of the new OB Fellowship.
- Promote a philosophy that supports women and children in all clinical and academic endeavors.
- Board Certified in Family Medicine.
- Completion of a Surgical OB Fellowship or equivalent experience in high-risk obstetrics and cesarean deliveries.
- Proven track record in teaching and mentoring resident physicians.
- Strong dedication to serving underserved rural women and children.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
