Job Opportunity: Geriatrician

Our organization is seeking a dedicated Geriatrician to become part of a distinctive multidisciplinary team within a thriving multispecialty group of over 650 providers. This team plays a vital role in supporting our Memory Center and Geriatrics Consult Clinic, which includes a diverse group of professionals such as Geriatricians, Neurologists, Geriatric Psychiatrists, Advanced Practice Practitioners, Social Workers, Pharmacists, and a Chaplain. We have locations in Boise, Nampa (just 20 minutes from Boise), and Eagle (15 minutes from Boise), providing flexibility for interested candidates to work from any of these sites. Additionally, there is an opportunity to engage in inpatient care through our G60 program and participate in teaching as an attending physician for Geriatric fellows, residents, and medical students during their geriatric rotations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, compassionate care to older adults.
  • Engage in direct patient care with a focus on face-to-face interactions.
  • Dedicate one day per week to administrative tasks.
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring medical trainees.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in internal medicine or family medicine.
  • Geriatrics Expertise:
    • Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Geriatric Medicine from the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), or
    • CAQ in Geriatric Medicine from the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM), or
    • Certification in Geriatric Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), or
    • Ability to obtain such certification within three years of employment, or
    • A minimum of ten years of experience primarily focused on the care of older patients.
  • Possession of an Idaho medical license, registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy, and DEA registration for controlled substances.
  • Privileges at the local regional medical center.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a traditional weekday schedule, featuring a 4-day work week that includes at least 34 hours of direct patient contact.
