Job Opportunity: Cardiac Physician Assistant

Our organization is on the lookout for a dedicated Cardiac Physician Assistant with a genuine interest in cardiothoracic surgery services to become a part of our team in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to inpatient care, working closely with our Cardiothoracic Surgeons. Responsibilities will include managing patients in the CVICU and CVIMC, as well as overseeing those in the step-down unit.

Practice Overview

Our practice focuses on:

• Adult cardiac surgery
• Aortic surgery
• Minimally Invasive Valve Surgery
• Thoracic surgery
• Hybrid Maze procedure for Atrial Fibrillation treatment

We also specialize in the implantation and management of ECMO and the Impella 5.5 device. Our program actively participates in the STS Registry and is committed to benchmarking performance as part of a robust quality and outcomes improvement initiative. We are dedicated to advancing the field of cardiothoracic surgery through cutting-edge clinical research, the development of innovative programs, and educational opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant medical license in Florida
• Valid controlled substance registration with the Florida Board of Pharmacy and DEA
• A minimum of 2 years of inpatient Surgical Cardiac CV experience
• A solid medical background with a passion for developing a practice within a growing multi-specialty medical group
