Job Description
We are excited to announce an excellent opportunity for a PRN Hospitalist to join our physician-led multispecialty group in Nampa, Idaho. Our organization consists of over 650 providers and is part of a regional team that includes 32 physicians and 12 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) based in Boise. The Nampa team, comprising 12 Hospitalists, manages a high-acuity medical service at the local medical center.
The Nampa facility features a 100-bed community hospital, which is set to expand to 250 beds, and includes a closed ICU and Level III trauma services. Our hospital is recognized for its Time Sensitive Emergency classifications in Stroke, Cardiology, and Trauma. Hospitalists serve as the primary admitting service for most primary care providers within our network.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a diverse patient population, typically consisting of 40% adults and 60% geriatric patients.
- Provide care for conditions such as CHF, pneumonia, COPD, pancreatitis, stroke, neurological disorders, geriatric fractures, and other general medical issues.
- Conduct approximately 18 patient encounters daily during rounding.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver advanced and innovative critical care services.
- Participate in teaching and mentoring residents.
The position involves 12-hour shifts, with the following schedule:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Our Hospitalists benefit from 24/7 support from Anesthesia, Radiology, and Intensivists, along with access to a wide range of subspecialists from our organization and the broader medical community.
Qualifications- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, with Hospitalist training considered.
- Board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM), or the ability to obtain such certification within three years of employment.
- Eligibility for Idaho and Oregon medical licensure, including valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Boards of Pharmacy and DEA.
- Ability to secure privileges at the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.
