What You'll Bring:
- Professional Florida TVI license and valid OMS certification
- Experience with vision screenings and a solid background in student testing
- Desire to work with a K-12 caseload, typically 15-20 students
- Flexibility and strong organizational skills for itinerant work across multiple campuses (2-3 per day)
- School-based experience is highly valued, though not strictly required
- Ability to provide both direct instruction and indirect consultative services
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and support for visually impaired students, tailored to individual needs
- Perform comprehensive student screenings and assessments
- Coordinate a rotating schedule, using the district office as your home base and traveling to assigned campuses
- Collaborate with educators and families to design effective accommodations and learning strategies
- Document and manage service timesheets and routine district forms
- Assist with consultative services, sometimes just once per month per student
