Job Description
Make a positive impact in the lives of preschool-aged children as a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse supporting a vibrant educational community in the Denver area. This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year and involves working with a team of dedicated professionals at a single center serving approximately 120 children ages 3-5—nearly half of whom have diverse IEP-driven needs.
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado RN license
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or three years of recent clinical nursing experience
- Colorado special services provider license or eligibility with the appropriate endorsement
- Valid CPR certification
- At least three years of current clinical experience required
- Willingness to complete a background check upon offer
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized health care plans and safety procedures for students
- Train school staff and delegate tasks as appropriate for student health needs
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and help shape the best possible educational experiences for students
- Conduct vision, hearing, and dental screenings to promote overall wellness
- Provide timely responses to all student health calls throughout the day
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all school health records
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment with special education, mental health, OT, and SLP professionals
- Utilize a private office as your work base within a well-supported school facility
