Job Description

This contract, part-time opportunity is designed for a skilled Occupational Therapist who thrives in school environments and values relationship-based practice. You’ll work 2-3 days per week in a district serving approximately 600 students, partnering with educators and families to help children reach their full potential during the 2026-27 academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license and eligibility for school-based practice
- Experience providing therapy in K-12 educational settings (preferred)
- Strong understanding of IEPs and the ability to write and implement therapy goals
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, student-centered environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet a range of student needs in a small district
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
- Administer assessments, interpret results, and develop treatment plans as part of multidisciplinary teams
- Participate actively in IEP meetings: setting goals, monitoring progress, and documenting outcomes
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines
- Provide resources and training to support staff on the use of adaptive equipment or classroom modifications
- Maintain all required documentation and compliance standards
