Multiple Special Education Teacher positions are available across specialized programs serving diverse student populations. Assignments start August 10, 2026, and conclude June 11, 2027, following the school calendar. Applicants must reside within a 35-minute commute.

Current openings include Autism Support (Carbon County), Multiple Disabilities Support (Lehigh Valley area and Lehigh County), and Emotional Support (Southern Lehigh County). Each program seeks dedicated educators ready to make a meaningful difference in students’ academic, behavioral, and developmental journeys.

Desired Qualities & Experience:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Special Education certification according to assignment requirements
  • Experience teaching in specialized or inclusive special education settings
  • Proficiency in developing and delivering IEPs tailored to individual needs
  • Strong classroom management with positive, proactive behavioral support
  • Able to work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
  • Background in Autism Support, Multiple Disabilities Support, Emotional Support, behavioral health, or IU/specialized school environments preferred

Program-Specific Expertise Sought:

  • Autism Support: Familiarity with ABA-informed strategies, communication supports (AAC, PECS), and sensory regulation
  • Multiple Disabilities Support: Adapted curriculum creation, personal care coordination, communication, and functional life skills
  • Emotional Support: Trauma-informed, crisis prevention/de-escalation, and emotional/behavioral support tools

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction in small, supportive settings
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and individualized supports
  • Foster an inclusive, structured learning environment
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings, progress reporting, and multidisciplinary collaboration
