Key Qualifications:
- Current Tennessee Special Education License
- Required TN endorsements: 459, 465, 468, 2000, 2001
- Candidates with TN SPED endorsement may be eligible to add a Pre-K endorsement by passing the relevant Praxis exam; the school will cover the Praxis exam cost for strong candidates
- Previous experience in Pre-K special education classrooms preferred
- Knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs for early learners
- Passion for creating an inclusive, nurturing early childhood environment
Responsibilities:
- Manage and support a Pre-K special education caseload, delivering individualized instruction based on students' IEPs
- Collaborate with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and families to promote each child’s academic and social growth
- Design engaging, differentiated activities that address students’ unique needs
- Track student progress and maintain effective communication with staff and parents
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom setting emphasizing safety, respect, and dignity for all learners
