Step into a rewarding contract role supporting elementary students’ growth and learning as a school psychologist. This position serves grades 2–5 in a vibrant educational setting near Woonsocket, RI, with a schedule from 8:25 AM to 3:10 PM. You will primarily engage with students in a resource or inclusion setting, providing specialized support to nurture their academic and social-emotional development. One classroom in the school has a primary focus on social-emotional learning, allowing you to leverage your expertise and make a meaningful impact. Physical restraint is not required in this position, ensuring a focus on positive behavioral interventions and collaboration with school teams.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience delivering psychological services in school settings
  • Familiarity with resource, pull-out, and inclusion service models
  • Strong background in social-emotional learning and behavioral supports
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct student assessments and interpret results to inform educational planning
  • Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with special education teams
  • Support the social-emotional development of students through individual and group counseling
  • Provide consultative services to teachers and families regarding student needs
