This role requires professionals ready to serve diverse caseloads, including mild to severe needs, on a flexible basis. Multiple full-time itinerant positions are available, including extended school year roles and an anticipated maternity leave coverage starting in August and lasting through March.

Qualifications:

  • Hold an active California OT license
  • Established experience supporting students within California school systems
  • Proficient in administering the BOT-3 and Peabody assessments with students ranging in age and ability, particularly those with multiple disabilities
  • Ability to independently structure and manage a fluctuating caseload, with the skill to adapt to shifting assessment and consultation needs
  • Strong data-analysis skills to effectively address parent concerns and provide informed recommendations on services
  • Ability to thrive independently, creating and adjusting your own schedule according to district requirements
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, though not mandatory

Responsibilities:

  • Perform student evaluations and ongoing therapy using best practices in school-based occupational therapy
  • Design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for K-12 students
  • Conduct thorough assessments and consult with multidisciplinary teams as cases demand
  • Maintain accurate documentation and clear, timely reporting where necessary
  • Regularly communicate with staff and families, utilizing data to support all recommendations
  • Take initiative as an itinerant therapist, proactively seeking solutions and supports in the field
