Job Description
Minimum 1+ years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience and ARRT certification required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a pivotal role supporting advanced care within an Interventional Radiology department. This position is essential for providing safe and effective nursing support throughout a variety of imaging-guided procedures. You'll collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- Experience in Interventional Radiology or similar imaging environments preferred
- Proficiency in monitoring, assessment, and documentation specific to pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care
- Basic and advanced life support certification (BLS/ACLS)
- Excellent teamwork, critical thinking, and patient communication skills
- Ability to adapt to evolving clinical scenarios in a fast-paced department
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ health status prior to procedures, including reviewing medical history and current medications
- Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care throughout interventional radiology procedures
- Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, contrast agents, and sedation as directed
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, procedures, and patient responses
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient flow and optimize care delivery
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols at all times
