Special Education Teacher in Marion, NC

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credentials
• Experience in elementary and/or middle school settings preferred
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Willingness to assist with toileting needs; no feeding experience necessary for elementary, minimal for middle school
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to elementary classroom with 6 students and middle school classroom with 11 students
• Deliver engaging, individualized lessons tailored to diverse learning needs
• Support students with toileting assistance as required
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and behavior technicians to manage classroom activities
• Monitor and document student progress and behavior
• Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and independence
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies and IEP requirements
• Ensure a safe, respectful, and structured classroom environment
