Location: Mount Vernon, NY (Westchester County)
Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 annually
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to provide therapeutic services to students ages 3-21 with neurodevelopmental delays. The Physical Therapist will assess students' physical abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve mobility, motor coordination, balance, strength, and overall physical independence in a student-centered environment.
ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide direct therapy to improve strength, balance, coordination, endurance, and functional mobility.
Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other team members to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Educate families and school staff on strategies to support student mobility, safety, and independence.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to student care planning.
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Active New York Physical Therapist (PT) License required.
New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Pediatric experience or experience working with individuals with developmental or neurological disabilities is preferred.
Strong knowledge of sensory-motor development and adaptive physical therapy techniques.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
