Embark on an impactful contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist, delivering essential services to students ranging from ages 3 through 22 with a variety of needs. Multiple positions are available, including full-time itinerant roles for the full school year and a maternity leave coverage projected to begin in August and extend through March. These placements require self-directed professionals who can thrive independently and adapt to evolving caseloads.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid and active California Occupational Therapy license is mandatory
  • Previous experience working in California schools necessary
  • Proficiency in administering the BOT-3 and Peabody assessments for students with diverse and significant disabilities
  • Strong skills in data utilization—capable of addressing parent inquiries and substantiating service recommendations effectively
  • Flexibility to serve mild to severe caseloads across K-12 settings; caseloads may vary depending on student and district needs
  • Demonstrated ability to work in the field independently, with minimal direct support, and to develop schedules aligned with district priorities
  • Spanish bilingual abilities are highly valued, though not required

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, consultations, and interventions for school-aged children and young adults
  • Independently manage a dynamic caseload, providing services where and when needed
  • Prepare and interpret data-driven reports to inform IEP recommendations and family communications
  • Collaborate professionally with educators, administrators, and families to advance student success
