Job Description
Step into an engaging and rewarding contract opportunity serving students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the vibrant Santa Clara area. Starting August 11, this position is ideal for an experienced SLP dedicated to making a difference in diverse educational settings. You’ll provide essential in-person speech therapy services to students across various grade levels, with the flexibility to accommodate your expertise and interests.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid California SLP license and/or ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Prior school-based SLP experience preferred
- Comfortable working with students from preschool (PK) through middle school (grade 8)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Adaptability in dynamic settings and across locations
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, in-person speech-language therapy to a caseload not to exceed 55 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and assess student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other staff to support student communication goals
- Provide screenings and evaluations as needed for PK-8 populations
- Maintain required documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Serve across one or more sites (to be determined), gaining valuable multi-site experience
