School Psychologist in Alcalde, NM

Make a difference in the lives of elementary students by providing vital support as a School Psychologist on a contract basis during the 2026-2027 school year. This position offers the opportunity to serve in a dynamic elementary setting, working across two sites to help shape positive learning environments for young learners.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid School Psychologist or School Social Worker certification
• Proven experience developing effective behavior intervention plans
• Expertise in supporting staff with managing student behaviors in a variety of educational settings
• Strong skills in conducting pre-referral and evaluative activities
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families
• Experience in elementary schools strongly preferred

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor behavior plans to support individual students
• Guide and support school staff in classroom management and behavioral strategies
• Provide direct services to students and participate in team meetings
• Conduct assessments and assist with the pre-referral process for special education services
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create positive educational outcomes
• Document services and maintain compliance with district and state regulations
• Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere across both assigned elementary sites
• Work a total of 35 hours per week, with a typical schedule of 7 hours per day onsite
