You will have the chance to work directly with a small group of students who present severe behavioral needs, utilizing your expertise and specialized training. Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Previous experience with students exhibiting severe behaviors required
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training strongly preferred
  • Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Patience, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to students with severe behavioral challenges (small group: 4 students)
  • Design individualized strategies and supports to facilitate learning and behavioral progress
  • Collaborate with faculty, therapists, and families for student success
  • Maintain a safe, positive classroom atmosphere
  • Implement CPI techniques as necessary
