Job Description

With multiple positions available across a large district, your expertise is needed to support Setting 3 Autism programs at both the elementary and secondary levels. This is a contract role for the 2026-2027 academic year, with full-time hours and ongoing support from an engaged school community.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license required
- Background in special education with experience supporting students with autism preferred
- Understanding of Setting 3 programs at primary and secondary levels
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs across multiple school campuses
- Effective communication skills and collaborative approach to working with students, staff, and families
- Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and individualized education plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and individualized support to students with special needs
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s goals and requirements
- Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other educators to maximize student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and district guidelines
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment where all students can thrive
