Make a difference in a child’s life as a dedicated school-based RN in the Denver area for the upcoming academic year. This full-time contract role is designed for a compassionate, skilled nurse eager to support a kindergarten student requiring 1:1 medical care at the elementary school level. Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or three years of applicable RN experience
  • Active Registered Nurse licensure in Colorado
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience with ventilator care via tracheostomy and tube feeding via g-tube preferred
  • Strong commitment to communicating and collaborating with families and school staff
  • Background check required upon offer acceptance

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive, skilled 1:1 care for a kindergarten student with complex medical needs (ventilator/trach, g-tube feeds, toileting support)
  • Collaborate and communicate closely with classroom staff, healthcare providers, and the child’s family
  • Participate in initial meetings/interviews with school administration, and then with the family and student before the start date
  • Attend paid, pre-service training on July 31st from 8 AM to 4 PM, if available
  • Support potential transportation/busing needs (details to be determined)
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure safety protocols are met at all times

Position Details:

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–3:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)
  • Single campus assignment for the full school year (Aug 10, 2026–May 26, 2027)
  • Opportunity to meet and collaborate with the student’s family before school begins, with compensation for up to a half-day
