About the RoleAs a Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting advanced aerospace and aviation programs by building and testing high-level cable assemblies and harnesses. Your work will directly impact the quality, reliability, and performance of critical equipment used in demanding environments.
This is an onsite position in Clearwater, FL, working a convenient 4/10 first-shift schedule, giving you a three-day weekend every week.
Location: Clearwater, FL (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Schedule: 1st Shift, 4/10 Schedule
What You'll Do
- Build and assemble high-level cable harnesses and equipment cables for specialized aviation projects
- Perform soldering, repair, testing, and troubleshooting of cable assemblies and support equipment
- Interpret and follow detailed build instructions, assembly drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Read and understand electrical CCA schematics, engineering drawings, and Mil-Specifications
- Conduct electrical and electronic testing to ensure quality and performance standards are met
- Diagnose and repair cable assembly issues as needed
- Execute repetitive production tasks while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and quality
- Follow established manufacturing processes, workmanship standards, and safety procedures
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience building, repairing, testing, and soldering equipment cables or cable harness assemblies
- Certification or demonstrated proficiency in soldering
- Experience building test equipment assets or equivalent assemblies
- Strong understanding of assembly processes and cable harness construction
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Electrical schematics
- Engineering drawings
- BOMs (Bills of Materials)
- Mil-Specifications
- Assembly instructions
- Experience with electrical and electronic testing
- Knowledge of diagnostic and repair techniques
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- IPC-WHMA-A-620 certification or experience
- Aerospace, aviation, military, or defense manufacturing experience
- Experience working with complex test equipment or electronic assemblies
- Prior experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
