JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a Service Technician to join a leading construction platform company (powered scaffolding) in Canton, OH. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting a variety of equipment utilized across customer job sites. The Service Technician will work closely with experienced team members to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently, both in the shop and in the field. They are maintaining & servicing power scaffolding that can reach 30ft to 600ft. This role offers hands-on training, opportunities for career growth, and occasional travel to support customers at various locations. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, diagnosing mechanical issues, and delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Service Technician or in a similar maintenance/repair role.
- Experience servicing construction, industrial, automotive, or commercial equipment.
- Experience with at least two of the following:
Hydraulics
Mechanical systems
Electrical systems
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage service-related tasks.
- Willingness to travel throughout the United States on occasion.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience with aerial lift, access, or platform equipment.
- Installation or field service experience.
- Experience supporting customers on-site.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and equipment inspections.
- Rental equipment industry experience.
- OSHA or other safety certifications.
- Commercial or industrial construction experience.
