School Psychologist in Providence, RI

In this role, you will provide specialized support in a resource setting, primarily through special education pull-out or inclusion services, with one dedicated social-emotional classroom. Physical restraint will not be required, adding to a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. Experience with social-emotional learning, behavioral intervention, and individualized education planning will be highly valued.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

• Current School Psychologist certification/license
• Experience working with elementary students, especially grades 2–5
• Strong background in special education and familiarity with resource/inclusion models
• Expertise in social-emotional learning and behavioral interventions
• Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and families
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and observational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results for IEP teams
• Collaborate with special education and general education staff
• Support the design and implementation of social-emotional and behavioral interventions
• Consult and assist in classroom inclusion and resource room settings
• Participate in eligibility determinations and help develop IEP goals
• Engage in progress monitoring and data collection
