Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Valid LSSP license required
  • Previous experience as a School Psychologist within a school setting is highly valued
  • Expertise in administering and interpreting psychoeducational and behavioral assessments
  • Strong knowledge of special education eligibility criteria and best practices
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines with professionalism

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for elementary students, primarily focusing on evaluation for special education services
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to interpret assessment results and recommend appropriate interventions
  • Participate actively in eligibility meetings and develop recommendations to support academic, behavioral, and emotional development
  • Provide high-quality written reports, keeping accurate and timely documentation
  • Facilitate and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
  • Remain current with state and federal laws related to school psychology and special education
