School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Employment Type: Full-time, Contract

Soliant has an opening for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with a school district near Rumford, Maine. This full-time, school-based opportunity offers the chance to help students strengthen their communication skills while working alongside a supportive team of educators and related service providers. Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students based on individualized needs
- Conduct evaluations and assessments (SLP only) and assist with treatment planning
- Implement therapy goals outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
- Collaborative and student-focused approach to therapy
Qualifications:
- Active Maine SLP license or Maine SLPA authorization (or eligibility)
- Soliant offers licensing assistance if needed
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred for SLP applicants
- School-based experience preferred but not required
Education:
- SLP: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- SLPA: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field, as required by the state of Maine
Experience:
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
Work Hours:
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 37.5 hours per week
