School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Employment Type: Full-time, Contract
Job Location: Rumford, ME

Soliant has an opening for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with a school district near Rumford, Maine. This full-time, school-based opportunity offers the chance to help students strengthen their communication skills while working alongside a supportive team of educators and related service providers. Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students based on individualized needs
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments (SLP only) and assist with treatment planning
  • Implement therapy goals outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
  • Collaborative and student-focused approach to therapy

Qualifications:

  • Active Maine SLP license or Maine SLPA authorization (or eligibility)
    • Soliant offers licensing assistance if needed
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred for SLP applicants
  • School-based experience preferred but not required

Education:

  • SLP: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • SLPA: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field, as required by the state of Maine

Experience:

  • Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply

Work Hours:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 37.5 hours per week
