Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting early learners as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist in a preschool setting. This full-time opening offers you the chance to positively impact the communication and developmental journey of preschoolers aged 3-5, working closely with a dedicated team to ensure every child reaches their milestones. The contract runs from onboarding (by August 31, 2026) through June 6, 2027, with typical school hours from 8:44am to 3:50pm, Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
You'll collaborate within Early Childhood Special Education Preschool classrooms, taking responsibility for a manageable caseload of 25-29 students. Whether you are an experienced SLP (holding CCCs) or a Clinical Fellow (CFY), your pediatric expertise and passion for teletherapy or in-person approaches will be valued here.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid SLP licensure with eligibility to practice in schools
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly desirable; strong CF candidates encouraged
- Experience with pediatric populations, ideally in early childhood or preschool settings
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions in speech, language, and developmental disorders
- Familiarity or willingness to engage in teletherapy, as needed
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Your Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in young children
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored for each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other staff to support student progress
- Document and maintain records of student performance and therapy sessions
- Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise to foster a supportive learning environment
