\nYou will work around experienced machinists, programmers, engineers, and company leadership while gaining exposure to manufacturing, administration, shipping, sales support, and production systems.
\nMetron offers a four-day day-shift schedule with flexible hours. The company is open to working around an appropriate school schedule. Candidates who perform well may have the opportunity to move into a full-time position with benefits after approximately 90 days.
\n&99;️ What you’ll be doing
\nThis is a floating support role, so daily responsibilities will vary.
\nShop support
\n- \n
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized machine shop \n
- Assist machinists with non-machining tasks \n
- Wash, package, label, and prepare finished parts \n
- Help with light assembly and laser engraving \n
- Support shipping and receiving \n
- Organize supplies, work areas, and incoming materials \n
- Help keep production areas ready for work \n
Office and administrative support

- Answer and direct incoming phone calls \n
- Greet visitors, customers, vendors, and delivery drivers \n
- Complete basic data entry accurately \n
- Assist with production information and ProShop ERP workflows \n
- Manage mail, packages, deliveries, and office logistics \n
- Help organize files and internal documentation \n
Business support

- Research potential customers and build lead lists \n
- Update CRM information \n
- Assist with customer follow-up \n
- Help with company social media, photos, videos, and employee features \n
- Support special projects and internal process improvements \n
- Create or update basic instructions and SOPs \n
