Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active South Carolina Speech-Language Pathology license and current Educator certification required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in a K–12 school setting highly desired
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to engage with students, staff, and families as part of a collaborative team
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to fostering a supportive learning atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative SLP services to a caseload of up to 60 students (possibly as low as 55), addressing a variety of speech and language needs
  • Implement and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other team members
  • Conduct evaluations, develop assessment reports, and maintain accurate student documentation
  • Consult regularly with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain compliance with state and school policies
