LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing and well-established organization in the energy services sector that is seeking an experienced Senior/Project Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with operational and executive leadership while supporting complex accounting, financial reporting, cost analysis, and capital asset activities in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Lead account reconciliation activities, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany accounts.
  • Support accounting and financial reporting for significant capital projects and fixed asset portfolios.
  • Perform cost accounting analysis related to operations, equipment utilization, fuel consumption, and service-related activities.
  • Partner with operational leaders to evaluate financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve profitability.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff while promoting best practices and process improvements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to support audit requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Develop and enhance accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial reporting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the energy, industrial services, manufacturing, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, cost accounting, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Experience supporting capital-intensive operations is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, IFS, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across finance and operational teams.
Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
