Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting early learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a Pre-K setting. This contract role runs from August 19 to November 11, with flexible scheduling options (2-4 days per week) to fit your lifestyle. Each day runs from 8:10 AM to 3:20 PM, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while maintaining work-life balance.
Your experience as an SLP-CCC will be utilized in a collaborative environment where you’ll provide a continuum of services—from speech-only to integrated support in self-contained classrooms. You will primarily be based at Madison, but with a presence in both Madison and Lincoln buildings to serve Pre-K students districtwide. Please note that Tuesdays are required for staff meetings.
What you bring:
- Active SLP-CCC credentials and state licensure
- Experience delivering services in a school-based Pre-K environment
- Comfort supporting students with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
- Proficiency conducting speech-language evaluations; collaboration with another district SLP on PBAs
- Strong communication and adaptability when working across settings and office spaces
- Passion for supporting diverse learners, with approximately 35 Pre-K students currently identified with speech/language needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services across designated buildings
- Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate interventions for students using AAC
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and contribute to team PBAs
- Attend Tuesday staff meetings, fostering collaboration within the support team
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress to families and staff
