As a school psychologist, your expertise will guide students, families, and staff toward positive outcomes. You’ll collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement interventions, assessments, and support plans tailored to each child’s unique needs. Fluency in more than one language is essential to ensure effective communication and advocacy for English Language Learners and their families.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification/licensure as a school psychologist
- Bilingual proficiency to support diverse student and family populations
- Familiarity with the educational system and multi-tiered systems of support
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments, interpreting data, and providing recommendations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and interpret findings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support students’ social, emotional, and academic needs through evidence-based practices
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultative services as needed
- Document services and maintain confidential records in compliance with regulations
- Assist with the design and implementation of preventive programs and interventions
