Step into a dynamic, highly rewarding contract role supporting students as an Autism Support or Emotional Support Interventionist for the 2026–2027 school year. These positions are located in structured, therapeutic educational settings, helping children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or emotional and behavioral needs achieve their personal and academic goals. Assignments begin August 10, 2026, with initial limited hours for Opening Day and Summer Academy, followed by full-time school hours (32.5–35 hours/week) as the year progresses.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Human Services, ABA, or a related field preferred. Associate’s degree with at least one year of relevant experience considered (three years preferred).
• Experience working with youth in Autism support, emotional/behavioral disabilities, ABA, behavioral health, special education, residential treatment, or crisis intervention environments.
• Confident using proactive behavior management, de-escalation, trauma-informed care, and intervention strategies.
• Calm, consistent demeanor—comfortable addressing behavioral and emotional crises.
• Ability to document progress and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Basic computer proficiency for data collection and reporting.

Autism Support Interventionists:

• Provide direct support and implement evidence-based strategies for students with ASD, including BIPs, visual schedules, AAC devices, reinforcement systems, and sensory supports.
• Assist with communication, social skills, academic tasks, routines, and personal care as needed.
• Monitor IEP progress and work alongside teachers, therapists, and behavior specialists.

Emotional Support Interventionists:

• Support students in therapeutic classrooms using individualized behavior plans, de-escalation, and trauma-informed techniques.
• Assist with transitions, daily routines, and develop positive rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
