Job Description

This contract position welcomes a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) ready to engage with young learners and work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
This full-time role runs from August through November 2026, offering between 32 and 37.5 hours each week, Monday through Friday. You’ll work closely with a dedicated team to help students maximize their potential in the classroom through direct intervention and creative support strategies.
Key Requirements:
- Valid COTA certification
- Experience with elementary-aged children preferred
- Familiarity with academic settings
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans under the direction of an OT
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services and interventions to support students’ individual education plans (IEPs)
- Assist students in building skills for greater independence in daily school activities
- Document therapy sessions and progress, ensuring compliance with state and school guidelines
- Collaborate with the occupational therapist, special education staff, educators, and families to address student needs
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of student programming
