- Trauma Level: Level III Trauma Center

- Bariatric Center of Excellence
- Chest Pain Center
- Radius Rule: Permanent residence must be more than 50 miles from the home unit.
- Unit: ICU
- Beds/Census: 40 beds (typically full)
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- First-Time Travelers: Not accepted
- Mechanically ventilated patients
- Stroke and thrombectomy patients
- High-flow oxygen (OptiFlow)
- BiPAP
- Overdose patients
- EndoTool insulin management
- CRRT
- GI bleeds
- Some trauma patients
- 1:1 to 1:3, depending on acuity
- Active RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Candidates should be proficient with:
- Critical care drips (vasopressors, insulin, sedation)
- Ventilator management
- Arterial and central venous lines
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Chest tubes
- Blood product administration
- Wound care and dressing changes
- General ICU patient management
- CNA
- Charge Nurse (24/7)
- Respiratory Therapist (24/7)
- Hospitalist (24/7)
- Intensivist (24/7)
- IV/Vascular Access Team
- Limited phlebotomy support (RNs perform most draws)
- No unit secretary/HUC
- EMR: Epic
- IV Pumps: Alaris
- Medication Dispensing: Omnicell
- Monitors: Philips

- LifeFlow
- Shift: 12-hour Days
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call: None
- Holiday Requirement: Work 75% of holidays
- Required within Region 1 and within scope of practice.
- Travelers must be willing to float to other regional facilities.
- If floating mid-shift, travel time between facilities is paid.
- New Employee Orientation (NEO)
- 2 days of unit-specific orientation
- Up to 6 requested days off may be approved (excluding holidays).
- Additional time may be added to the end of the contract if needed to meet contracted hours.

- Unit Culture: Strong teamwork on both day and night shifts
This position is best suited for an experienced ICU travel nurse who is comfortable with high-acuity critical care, ventilator management, CRRT, stroke care, invasive monitoring, and floating within the assigned region. Candidates must have prior travel experience and be flexible with weekends, holidays, and regional floating.
