We are seeking an experienced Lead Foreman/Technician to join our Fire Alarm & Suppression Service team in Mobile, Alabama. This individual will play a critical role in servicing, inspecting, troubleshooting, programming, and installing fire alarm and suppression systems for commercial, federal, and industrial clients throughout the region. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned fire protection professional who enjoys a combination of technical troubleshooting, system programming, customer interaction, and field leadership. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, leading projects in the field, and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with applicable fire and life safety codes.

What You'll Do Fire Alarm & Suppression Systems

• Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs of:

o Fire alarm systems

o Fire suppression systems

o Fire extinguishers

• Troubleshoot and service existing fire alarm and suppression systems.

• Replace fire alarm control panels and install new systems.

• Program and commission fire alarm systems for commercial and industrial customers.

• Work with leading manufacturers including:

o Siemens

o Notifier

o Simplex

o Gamewell-FCI

o Honeywell products

o Edwards EST Low Voltage & Security Systems

• Service and maintain:

o Access control systems

o Security systems

o CCTV/Camera systems

• Support low-voltage wiring and device installation activities. Documentation & Reporting

• Complete detailed inspection and service reports.

• Generate and upload compliance documentation for customers and municipal agencies.

• Create service call notes and inspection reports using company software and PDF-based reporting tools.

• Maintain accurate records for highly regulated environments such as hospitals and government facilities. Customer & Site Support

• Work with a diverse customer base including:

o Hospitals and healthcare systems

o Universities o Manufacturing facilities

o Commercial buildings

o Shipyards o Government and military facilities

o Industrial plants and sawmills

• Provide professional customer service and communicate findings clearly. On-Call


Responsibilities

• Participate in an emergency on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Typically on call approximately one weekend per month.

• Respond to after-hours service requests as needed. $62,400to $79,040. - Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with commercial and/or industrial:

o Fire alarm systems

o Fire suppression systems

• Experience testing, inspecting, repairing, and servicing fire protection systems.

• Experience programming fire alarm systems.

• Experience running conduit and pulling wire.

• Ability to independently troubleshoot and complete service work.

• Strong computer skills for reporting, documentation, and system programming.

• Clean driving record.

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

• Ability to pass background screening requirements, including customer-specific security checks.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems and/or Special Hazards

o Candidates without NICET may still be considered if they possess equivalent state certifications and relevant experience.

• Experience with low-voltage systems including:

o Access control

o Security systems

o CCTV

• Knowledge of applicable fire and life safety codes and standards.

• Experience working in healthcare, industrial, manufacturing, or government environments.
