Embark on a rewarding full-time contract assignment centered on providing Occupational Therapy services within an educational environment. Starting September 9th and continuing through November 30th, you’ll play a crucial role as a long-term substitute, supporting students and staff across two elementary school settings near Saint Paul, MN.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure for Minnesota schools
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric therapy setting
  • Strong ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, students, and families
  • Experience supervising or working alongside COTAs is highly preferred
  • Flexibility to adapt to the unique needs of both center-based autism programs and general education environments

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative OT services at two elementary campuses:
    • Allocate .4 of your schedule to a center-based autism classroom, supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and ensuring supportive, evidence-based practices
    • Spend .6 of your time delivering comprehensive OT interventions to students at a second elementary school, managing the entire OT caseload
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized education plans (IEPs), documenting progress and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Support inclusion and participation of students within classroom, school routines, and activities
