Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist in a dynamic educational setting near Winter Garden, FL. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of K-12 students, including some Pre-K, across a network of schools. As part of an itinerant team, you’ll collaborate with another Physical Therapist and a PTA, typically providing services at two or three schools daily. This engaging position balances both direct and indirect services to a diverse caseload, offering a chance to sharpen your skills in a supportive school community.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Florida Physical Therapy License required
- Experience providing PT services in school settings is highly preferred, though not mandatory
- Confident working with K-12 students (including some Pre-K)
- Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites within the district
- Strong communication skills and collaborative attitude
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality physical therapy services to a varied caseload, supporting student mobility and participation in educational activities
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and fellow therapists to implement individualized therapy plans
- Complete required documentation, data forms, and procedural agreements as outlined by district protocols
- Attend and participate in team meetings as necessary for student progress and planning (OTs/COTAs have separate responsibilities)
- Meet all credentialing and onboarding requirements, including a two-part district process to ensure smooth placement
