This full-time, contract position offers the chance to make a significant impact on students’ communication skills throughout the 2026–2027 academic year. Begin with paid training days in August, then work regular school hours, traveling between local elementary sites to provide vital support.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Active SLP Educator Certification for Pennsylvania
- Previous experience within a school setting is highly desired
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Comfortable with commuting daily between multiple school sites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and deliver therapy to students with diverse communication needs
- Consult collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families to support generalization of communication strategies
- Maintain timely and accurate records as required by school and state policy
- Provide travel-based therapy services between assigned schools, including Bethlehem-Center Elementary, Fort Cherry Elementary, and locations in Waynesburg
- Participate in scheduled trainings and professional development
