Job Description

Required Qualifications:
- Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Deaf & Hard of Hearing, OR a valid California Special Education Credential that authorizes teaching students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across a variety of settings and grade levels
- Assist in creating accessible classroom environments and adapt curriculum materials
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, families, and other specialists to optimize learning outcomes
- Track and assess student progress, maintaining all required documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and relevant trainings as assigned
- Serve as an advocate for students, promoting inclusion and access to the full educational experience
This contract role is full-time and onsite only, ensuring rich engagement with students and staff throughout the academic year.
