School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Sylacauga, Alabama

Step into a dynamic school-based contract role supporting students across three welcoming campuses in the Sylacauga, AL area. As an itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing expert evaluation and intervention services throughout the fall semester. With a caseload of approximately 60 students, you'll split your time between Shelby County High, Columbiana Middle, and Helena Intermediate, ensuring comprehensive support for students of varying ages and needs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Current Alabama SLP Professional Educator Certification (verification available via the Alabama Department of Education)
• Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong organizational skills and comfort managing a multi-site, itinerant caseload
• Effective written and verbal communication with students, families, and school teams
• Dedication to providing evidence-based, inclusive speech-language services

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy for students with a range of communication needs
• Conduct assessments, document results, and contribute to IEP development and progress reporting
• Coordinate service schedules and documentation across three assigned school locations
• Collaborate with special education teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
• Maintain timely, detailed records in compliance with district and state guidelines

This position offers a full-time, Monday-Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week) from August 4 to December 19, allowing you to enjoy stable routines and meaningful student interaction.
