Location: Marblehead, MA (On-site)
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. On-call every other weekend for emergency situations only.
Setting : Inpatient Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility.
Patients : Geriatric patients (65+ years).
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to build upon this legacy and lead our nursing team into the future.

Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic oversight and administrative supervision of all nursing staff, including nurse managers and direct caregivers.
Develop, implement, and review comprehensive resident care plans that address individual medical and psychosocial needs.
Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations, Medicare guidelines, HIPAA privacy standards, and all applicable federal and Massachusetts state regulations.
Oversee documentation review processes within electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of medical records.
Manage nursing staff schedules to maintain appropriate staffing levels while optimizing operational efficiency.
Supervise the administration of medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and regulatory requirements.

Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives by analyzing clinical data, including:
Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments
Resident outcomes
Incident reports
Facilitate effective communication among interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, social workers, residents, and families, to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care.
Conduct regular audits of medical records and clinical documentation to ensure compliance with documentation review protocols.
Stay current with evolving long-term care regulations and update policies and procedures as necessary to maintain accreditation and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will have:
Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Several years of progressive leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) setting.

Strong knowledge of:
Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) regulations
State survey processes
Clinical operations within long-term care
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor, support, and lead a collaborative nursing team.
