Medical Technologist in West Bend, WI

Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field, National certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent), and 1–2+ years recent hospital lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dynamic opportunity is available for skilled individuals with expertise as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician. This contract position offers a challenging and rewarding setting for those passionate about laboratory science and patient care.

Schedule:

• Start Date: August 17
• Night shifts: 2100-0700 (9 PM–7 AM)
• Seven consecutive 10-hour shifts in a row, followed by seven days off, repeating every two weeks (totaling 70 hours per pay period)
• Shift weeks run Friday through Thursday

Key Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited program in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related discipline
• Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS/CLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or eligibility to obtain certification
• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, quality control, and instrumentation
• Ability to work independently, efficiently prioritize, and maintain accuracy during overnight hours
• Excellent communication and analytical skills

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a full range of clinical laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other specimens for diagnostic and treatment purposes
• Accurately record, interpret, and report results in compliance with established laboratory standards
• Operate and maintain a variety of laboratory instruments and equipment
• Participate in quality assurance processes and maintain accurate documentation
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols
• Effectively collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient care
