Job Description
Minimum 1+ years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience and ARRT certification required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a vital role supporting patient care within the dynamic environment of interventional radiology. This contract position is well-suited for candidates with experience in both imaging and nursing, specifically within the interventional radiology setting.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Active RN license with Interventional Radiology nursing experience
- Proficiency in imaging procedures within interventional radiology
- Familiarity with sterile technique and assisting with minimally invasive procedures
- Strong assessment, patient monitoring, and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with radiologists, technologists, and support staff
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care for patients before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to emergent situations
- Assist with imaging equipment operation and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, maintain a sterile field, and manage supplies
- Document all aspects of patient care in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
