Job Description
Make an immediate impact as a Mental Health Specialist supporting the next generation of learners! This contract position is located near Davison, MI, and focuses on meeting the social and emotional needs of students in both elementary and high school settings for the 2025/2026 school year. You’ll have the chance to provide one-on-one and group support for general education students, collaborate on positive behavioral programs, and contribute to professional learning initiatives within the school community.
Openings are available at two elementary schools and one high school. This role is ideal for master’s-level professionals who are dedicated to fostering safe, supportive learning environments.
What we’re looking for:
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related field (required)
- LARA licensure per Michigan requirements (see: https://www.michigan.gov/lara/bureau-list/bpl/health/hp-lic-health-prof/counseling)
- Qualified licensure/credentials may include:
- Licensed Master’s Level Social Worker (LMSW)
- Licensed Master’s Level School Social Worker
- Licensed or Limited Licensed Master’s Level Psychologist or Professional Counselor (with required supervision as applicable)
- MDE credentialed master’s-level school psychologist
- Licensed Master’s Level Marriage and Family Therapist
- Appropriate school counselor credentials (SCL, NT Endorsement, PSCC, TSCL—with ability to obtain corresponding LARA credentials)
- Experience in school-based social work or mental health preferred
- Genuine passion for student well-being and advocacy
