Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Loan Servicing Specialist for a contract opportunity in Rosemead, CA. This role supports consumer loan servicing operations, including payment processing, Freddie Mac servicing functions, account reconciliation, payoff processing, loan system updates, and customer inquiry resolution.
This is an excellent opportunity for a loan servicing professional who enjoys working in a structured banking, mortgage, or real estate finance environment where accuracy, accountability, and teamwork are highly valued. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, comfortable working with loan systems and reports, and able to manage time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete servicing functions for loans sold to Freddie Mac, including daily and monthly remittance, system status updates, and bank account reconciliation.
- Board new loans to the core system, update collateral information, and maintain accurate loan records.
- Review system reports, posting rejects, lockbox exceptions, unapplied funds, and non-posted payments to research and correct errors.
- Process monthly loan payments, payoff funds, return items, auto debit requests, ACH requests, and loan work-in-process account clearing.
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries, payoff quote requests, verification of loan requests, and account research needs.
- Prepare mortgage release documents for paid-in-full loans and support compliance with applicable servicing procedures.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $52,000 to $58,240 per year.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
