School Counselor | Guadalupe, California

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity in the vibrant Santa Maria area supporting students and staff as an LVN within an educational setting. This role is designed for experienced professionals passionate about nurturing student well-being in a dynamic onsite environment.

As a valued member of the LVN Pool, your primary responsibilities will include providing essential clinical support throughout the regular school year, with the possibility of working directly 1:1 with students as needs arise. Your expertise will help maintain a healthy, inclusive, and supportive environment for the school community.

Key Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted CA LVN license required
• Experience in school nursing, counseling, or working with pediatric or adolescent populations is highly preferred
• Ability to handle both general health responsibilities and, when needed, focused 1:1 student support
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to maintaining strong rapport with students, families, and staff
• Willingness to work onsite for 32.5 hours per week during the regular school year
• Flexibility to sign up for Extended School Year (ESY) hours, as these are not mandatory or guaranteed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site health care, administer medications, and deliver first aid as needed
• Contribute to student wellness plans and provide health guidance
• Monitor health status and respond to emergencies effectively
• Collaborate closely with counseling staff to support students’ mental and emotional well-being
• Document health services in accordance with school policies and legal requirements
