Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Naperville, IL

This full-time, onsite contract opportunity offers the chance to support learners in an inclusive educational environment. The position spans the academic year from August 2026 through May 2027, serving a dynamic caseload split between a middle school and two elementary schools.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement required
• Previous experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing is highly valued
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to suit diverse learning needs
• Proficiency in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Flexibility to travel between assigned school sites

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative services for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across multiple school locations
• Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans that address individual student goals
• Support students' language, academic, and social-emotional growth
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive environment
• Monitor progress and adjust instruction as needed to ensure students’ success
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based planning
