Job Description
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Experienced nursing professionals are needed to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive hospital setting on a contract basis. This role requires expertise in Stepdown and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) environments, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of one year recent experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with complex medical conditions
- Monitor, interpret, and document vital signs and patient responses, including cardiac rhythms and other critical indicators
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding care plans and treatments
- Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and best practice protocols
