Job Description
Step into a vital role supporting students’ communication needs with an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist contract opportunity, serving schools near Santa Clara, CA. This position runs from August 13th to June 11th, offering the chance to collaborate with dedicated educators and help students reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a valid Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential for Language, Speech, & Hearing, or a California credential as a Language/Speech and Hearing Specialist
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active California Speech-Language Pathology license required
- Possess Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting supporting K-12 students a plus
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders among students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students’ strengths and needs
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students, delivering both individual and group interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to support student learning
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, therapy progress, and IEP requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary school teams
- Promote a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student growth
